Is the bench one of these “LGBT free zones” that I keep hearing about over there?

I guess Lybians aren't White enough to register and BLM cunts would rather protest about anything to do with whitey that happened hundreds of years ago rather than modern slavery that's still going on...

Re: Taking the knee.
The BLM movement has done an amazing job. I mean, black people are now seen as the most important people on earth right now.

Victims of terrorists? Nothing. Victims of peado's and child trafficking? Zilch. Victims of war? Nowt. Victims of genocide? Zero. Victims of religious and ethnic cleansing? Bugger all.

A black person resisting arrest told not to reach inside their car who does and is subsequently shot? A fucking tidal wave of news coverage and public outpouring of anger and BLM protests.

You have to give it to them. The BLM press office has some seriously good people working within it.

I would love it if Sullivan and Gold took the knee, preferably mine followed up with them taking the "toe cap" :-)

It should of ended when last season ended

Now it feels like theyll do it forever where then the message will get diluted....as Les is saying

I love the way they describe it now as a "fancy hashtag or a nice pin badge". They're spot on with that.

Who remembers #BringBackOurGirls? That achieved fuck all, but it made a load of dickheads feel gerat about themselves for posting it.

I think Les Ferdinand has summed this up perfectly. There comes a point where it loses its purpose and it has now. All for supporting the cause and football should take a stance but this has run its course as he quite rightly points out.

Munitions workers vote in elections and buy stuff advertised in the media. Starving Yemeni children don't.

Re: Taking the knee.
I was watching on the news some poor children starving to death in a hospital in Yemen yesterday. It was one of the most distressing things I have ever seen. Where is the outrage about that, especially as UK supplies arms to Saudi Arabia.

Seems a token gesture that has lost any effect. If it ever had any
Not sure this sort of thing has any impact of genuine racists to make them change
Better off spending more educating young players at Premier league clubs and being more decisive on racist behaviour
For example John Terry should have been banned for a year & declared unfit to hold any position in football after retirement

Said before it will be interesting to see what UEFA do in their investigation of Neymars claims which is ongoing

Re: Taking the knee.
Correct on all counts, Duke

I suspect you didn't mean to, but this is the key point ". Most rational people don’t differentiate between the two"

Inherently, then, the entire process of taking a knee is irrational. There simply isn't the same reaction to murders here that there has been to a situation thousands of miles away. Its impossible to argue otherwise. And whilst that remains the case, you're always going to have arguments, disagreements etc, and all it serves to do is add fuel to those who feel hard done by. As I said earlier, life is simple. Consistency is all thats needed, then no one has anything to moan about.

Still not proven that it was a racist murder to be fair.
